DrugTheGuide is a free, browser-based reference tool. We do not require an account, we do not sell personal data, and we collect as little information as technically necessary to keep the site running.
Our hosting provider logs standard request data — IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the page requested. This data is used solely for security and uptime monitoring, is not linked to any individual, and is retained for no more than 30 days.
Some features (such as study cards and unit preferences) store your choices in your
browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not
accessible to us.
DrugTheGuide does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We may set a single functional cookie to remember a display preference. No third-party tracking cookies are set by us.
We do not embed third-party trackers, social media widgets, or advertising networks. Drug data is sourced from public APIs (openFDA, PubChem, RxNorm) at build time — no API calls are made from your browser. If a page links to an external site, that site's own privacy policy applies once you follow the link.
DrugTheGuide is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
